About World Finds

Ethical Style

WorldFinds mission is to empower women through fair trade. Our jewelry and accessories create work for over 700 artisans in vulnerable communities in India. These thoughtful designs and sustainable practices bring change to the lives of the artisans, provide a bright future for their children, and strengthen their communities.

We’re a { mostly } women-powered brand that began in 2001. We design all of our items in-house, and love to work collaboratively - both here at our office in the states as well as with our amazing artisans halfway around the world.

You can find us in over 900 stores in the US, and a growing number around the world.

Meet the Makers

There are over 700 incredible artisans that bring our jewelry and accessories designs to life! All of our styles are handmade by women artisans in India and Bali. Some are part of women's cooperatives or family groups, and others are members of the WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization). All are finding a path out of poverty through fair trade.

Each piece provides dignified work, fair wages, a safe workplace, and hope for the future. Get to know 3 of our artisans - Kanchan, Sofiya and Kamlesh - and become part of the story!

Design with Impact

Our styles create lasting change in artisan communities. We love that the single act of making a piece of jewelry or sewing a bag can help transform women's lives. The dignified, sustainable work is empowering, and creates a chain of goodness. Seeing this impact inspires us every day!

Our Journey

WorldFinds was conceptualized in the middle of a 14-month backpack trip around the world in 1999. Founder Kelly Weinberger and her husband David Burns had taken trip throughout various parts of Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and finally Asia, where they spent time in India and Nepal and Kelly first learned about fair trade – and had her lightbulb moment. She dreamed of creating a business that existed to do good, that was based on partnership, collaboration, great design, kindness and respect for humans and the environment. A business that would address the root cause of poverty – a lack of work.
